Jack F. Vroman, age 83, resident of Brainerd, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society-Bethany. Jack was born in Nortonville, N.D., on May 27, 1927, to Royce and Gladys Vroman. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the VFW. He was a “Jack of all trades” and an outsdoorsman.
Surviving are his children Wendy (John) VanMoer, Dennis (Cheryl) Vroman and Les (Julie) Vroman; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Joyce Mailhot and Lucille Lind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pearl; and grandson, Brendt.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter. Burial will be in Dykeman Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post No. 1647 Color Guard.
