Violet “Vi” D. Lound, age 87, of Brainerd, died on May 11, 2011, at the Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. She was born on Brainerd on Sept. 18, 1923, to John and Olive (Faarsenlokken) Sorsveen. Vi married Russell Lound on July 2, 1946. They raised their family in Ironton. She is a retired Potlatch Paper Mill employee with 20 years of service.
She is survived by three sons, Dave Lound, of Emily, Steve (Shirley) Lound, of Becker, and Kelly and Sue Lound, of Verndale; two daughters, Terry (Jerry) Andersen, of Emily, and Linda (Mark) Hilde, of St. Cloud; 16 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Russell; granddaughter, Pamela Fletcher; and six brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery in Irondale Township. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
