BAXTER — Lorine Paulson (Schanzenbach), of Baxter, Minn., died peacefully in the company of family on May 8, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Paulson, and is survived by son, Dennis (Nancy); grandchildren, Jarod Paulson and Etta Norton; daughter, Nancy (Ragnar) Bjornson; brothers, Gordon Schanzenbach and Bill Schanzenbach; sister, Othelia Weare.
She retired after 25 years from the Brainerd School District where she worked as a secretary at Franklin Jr. High and Brainerd High School. Lorine was known for her wit and energy. She was devoted to her family and friends and adored her grandchildren. As her health declined, her will to be part of the world continued as did her sense of humor.
Much thanks goes out from her family to her good friends and to the caring staff at Diamond Willow Assisted Living where she lived for the past two years. She will be greatly missed.
A short memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Mark Skinner officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. She will be buried with Earl at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery without a graveside service.
Memorials preferred in her honor to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home and Crematory.
