GARRISON — Audrey Lucille Nelson, age 84, of Garrison, died on March 29, 2011, in Blaine. She was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Madelia, Minn., to Claude and Effie (Rollings) Campbell. She graduated from the Mapleton High School in 1944. Audrey married Stanley Willis Nelson on Feb. 4, 1950. She was a member of the Garrison Lions, was a Melvin Jones Fellow, life member of the VFW Auxiliary No. 1816, Garrison, and a member of the Garrison Senior Citizens.
Survivors include sons, Michael (Annette) Nelson, Grayson, Ga., David Nelson, Tucker, Ga.; daughters, Patricia (Jerry) Beckius, Jordan, Janelle Nelson, Andover, Susan (Mike) Kuchinski, Blaine, Cindy Nelson, Isanti; brother, Gordon Campbell, Clinton, Iowa; sister, Kay Lentz, Rochester; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Stanley; two sisters, Lois Grubbs and Leora Lang; three brothers, Ralph, Richard and Clinton Campbell.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, Garrison. Burial will be in the Bennettville Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday one hour prior to the services at church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home, Crosby.
