Sheryl “Sherry” Lynn Zelinske, age 45, resident of Oak Lawn Township, died at her home Sunday, March 27, 2011. She was born Oct. 10, 1965, in Brainerd to Walter “Bud” and Agnes “Aggie” (Britton) Hines. She married Kyle Zelinske at South Long Lake Presbyterian Church Aug. 18, 1984.
She loved her family, extended family and especially her children. She was proud of her job as a special education aide at Harrison School, where she worked for 11 years. She had many interests which included hunting, fishing, woodworking, motorcycles and painting. Sherry was a Chihuahua and wiener dog “dog lover!” Sports including wrestling and dance were a very important part of her life.
Survivors include husband, Kyle; her children, Tommy Zelinske, of Duluth, Todd Zelinske, of Brainerd, and Kandi Jo Zelinske and her fiance, Mike Langerman, of Brainerd; two expected grandchildren, Kalob, and an expected granddaughter; her parents, Walter “Bud” and Agnes “Aggie” Hines; sister, Jeannie (Loni) LeDoux, of Brainerd; brothers, Terry (Mary) Hines, of Brainerd, and Dennis (Theresa) Hines, of Brainerd; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Raymond and Agnes Hines and Hank and Lilly Nuttbrock; niece, Stephanie Jill Zelinske; and nephew, Byron James Hines.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Hans Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and continue the hour before services Thursday at church.
