Gary M. Stang, age 61, originally of St. Cloud, was born Dec. 9, 1949, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 28, 2011.
He was a beloved father, papa, son, brother, uncle and friend; he touched many lives with his love and humor and will be deeply missed. An avid outdoorsman, Gary loved and embraced life at every opportunity. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Lucietta Stang.
Gary is survived by step-mother, Adell Stang; children, Kati (Brian) Tarnowski, Aaron Stang and Eric (Lisa) Stang; grandchildren, Breana, Briley, Briggs, Annabelle and Colton; siblings, Barb (Chuck) McMillen, Mike (Kay) Stang, Debbie (Steve) Thon, Cheryl (Dave) Piroch, Bill (Cindy) Stang, John (Marizza) Stang, Jim (Carrie) Stang, Mary Jo (Scott) Oehrlein and Rob (Aude) Stang; and his much loved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at the Northern Light Church of Christ, 6717 85th Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, with visiting time starting at 1 p.m.
