YUMA, Ariz. — Lee Robert “Bob” Nelson, age 88, passed away on Jan. 16, 2011, in Yuma, Ariz. Born in Cambridge, Minn., and a longtime resident of Brooklyn Center and Deerwood. Survived by loving wife, Phyllis, of 62 years; daughter, Linda (Al); son, Keith (Susan); grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sara), Kristin (Jeremy), Eric; and great-granddaughter, Vada. Bob was the youngest of seven children.
Bob was fortunate to spend his 28 years of retirement between his lake home in Deerwood, Minn., and their home in Yuma, Ariz. He loved his family, all sports and playing card games. You could always find him in his raspberry patch up north. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church at 5929 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Center.
