Harriet E. Nordling, lovingly known as “Mimi,” age 94, resident of Pequot Lakes, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at the Heritage House in Pequot Lakes. Harriet was born Dec. 11, 1916, in Duluth, Minn., to Sverre and Emma Larsen. She was a graduate of Central High School in Duluth and the University of Minnesota, Duluth. She married Jack Nordling in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 20, 1943. Harriet was a school teacher in the Brainerd and Duluth school systems.
Survivors include her four children, Jessica Beireis, Susan Michelotti, Eric Nordling and Emily Miller; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Nordling.
Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.
