Louis Arnold Thompson, 91, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, in Alexandria, Ky.  

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Minn. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services.  Louis will be interred at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls, Minn.

Louis was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Cottonwood, Minn. He served his country during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from Bang Printing. Louis loved to play cards.  

He will be missed by his wife of 60 years, Harriette (Anderson); his son, Louis H. (Sue) Thompson, of Alexandria, Ky; his daughter, Barbara (Don) Fleischhacker, of Fort Ripley, Minn.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Hazel Myers and Agnes Hanson.  

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Fleischhacker and his brothers, Joseph, Arthur, Leo, and Alve Thompson.
