Allen R. Groves

PILLAGER — Allen R. Groves, 68, of Pillager, passed away on Dec. 18, 2010, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn., due to complications from chemotherapy. Allen was owner of Groves Oil Co. in Pillager for many years and was also employed by Anderson Brothers Construction of Brainerd and Hengel Construction of Pillager. Allen was born May 9, 1942, in Sioux City, Iowa. 

He is survived by his wife Joanne; son, Jeff (Julie); daughter, Dawn Mudgett (Scott); mother, Zelda Groves; grandchildren Clay, Tyler, Dexter and Devyn; and great grandson Haedyn. He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed by all. Private services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
