PRINCETON - Karol Pruett, 50, of Princeton, Minn., died Nov. 22, 2010. She passed away peacefully in her home after a long battle with cancer. Karol was born Dec. 10, 1959, in Hudson, S.D., to Dwayne and Evelyn Pederson.
She attended Canton High School in Canton, S.D. She continued her education at North Central Bible College in Minneapolis. There she graduated and met the love of her life, Chuck Pruett. They were joined in marriage on April 18, 1981.
Karol and her husband ministered in the Brainerd, Minn., area for 10 years before moving to Princeton, Minn., in 1997. There she served, along with her husband, as a pastor at New Life Church. Karol was an amazing woman who lived her life in ministry to the Lord Jesus. Only eternity will reveal the many lives she touched over the years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dwayne Pederson. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, the Rev. Chuck Pruett; and four children, Chris (Kristin) Pruett, Kortney (Joe) Schwartz, Kyle Pruett and Katie Pruett, all of Princeton, Minn. She is also survived by her mother, Evelyn Pederson (Worthing, S.D.); two sisters, Karen (Randy) Christensen (Willmar, Minn.) and Karla (Gaylon) Lems, (Canton, S.D.); two grandchildren, Carson and Carter; and six nieces and nephews.
Visitation at New Life Church, Princeton, Minn., will be held on Saturday, Nov. 27, from 6-9 p.m. and for one hour before services on Sunday. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at the church. Funeral services, also at New Life Church, will be held Sunday, Nov. 28 at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Ronald Traub from Sioux Falls, S.D., officiating. Interment will be in Sioux Falls, S.D., at a later time.
In honor of Karol, memorial contributions may be made to New Life Church Memorial Garden.
