Dorothy M. Dixon
BAXTER — Dorothy M. Dixon, 85, of Baxter died on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Edgewood Vista in Brainerd, Minn.
Services for Dorothy will be on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lilja Behr officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. and interment will be at Pine River Cemetery.
Dorothy was born on July 1, 1926 to Nathaniel and Edna (Ellis) Hizen. She married Ralph Dixon on Oct. 1, 1951. Dorothy enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and family. She was involved with the Eagles and the Legion. Dorothy also liked fishing.
Dorothy is survived by her children; Dennis (Donna) of East Gull Lake, Minn., Kip (Jodi) of Brainerd, Minn., Robert (Lynae) of Pillager, Minn.; step-daughter, Sharon (Wes) Patterson of Salton City, Calif.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents, Nathaniel and Edna; brother, Robert Hizen. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
