Patricia “Patti” Burchill, 53, of Brainerd, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Private family services will be held.

Patti was born, raised and spent her entire life in Brainerd. She graduated from Brainerd High School and began working for the PACE Program at Brainerd State Hospital. She then continued her education at Brainerd Vocational Technical School and completed the Medical Secretary Program. Patti worked at Brainerd Medical Center for 23 years as a medical transcriptionist.

Nadine M. Schmillen, age 76, of the Pequot Lakes area, died on May 6, 2013, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minn. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at The Lutheran Home Chapel, 611 W. Main, in Belle Plaine, Minn. The Rev. Ed Fredrich will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel on Thursday.

NISSWA — Marjorie E. Enger, 92-year-old resident of Senior Class Care, Nisswa, Minn., passed away on May 6, 2013. She was born March 1, 1921, in New Rockford, N.D., to Oscar and Vera (McGoon) Danielson. She graduated from Minot High School and attended Minot State College. Marjorie was married to William S. Enger, who worked for the Great Northern and later the Burlington Northern Railways as a Yardmaster. While living in Minot, Marjorie worked for the First National Bank as a bookkeeper and also at Ann’s Fashions for several years.

PIERZ — Barbara Jean Hoskins, 84 years of age, passed away May 5, 2013, at her home in Pierz, Minn. Barb was born April 21, 1929, to her parents, William Liske and Minne Blomseth in Pequot Lakes, Minn. She was preceded by her husband, James Elvin Hoskins. Surviving are her children: Jim, Randy and spouse Kathy, Lonny and spouse Dawn, and David and spouse Carol; grandchildren, Brandi, Shelley, Shari, Stacie, Luke, Shannon, as well as an abundance of great-grandchildren.

John J. Hasch, 66, of Brainerd, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at St. Cloud Veterans Administration Hospital in St. Cloud. Full military honors will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.

John was born Sept. 14, 1946, in Yakima, Wash. He is survived by his daughter, Elsa (John) Garrison, of New Jersey; son, Jon, of Brainerd; three grandchildren; and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Barbara Ellen Marciw, age 62, of Emily, died on May 4, 2013, at the Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. She was born on April 7, 1951, in Bronx, N.Y., to John and Margaret (Nash) Gallagher. She married Michel Marciw on April 11, 1969, in Stanton Island, N.Y.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Mike; one son, Joseph (Elizabeth) Marciw, of Norwood; one daughter, Pamela (David) Rice, of Hamburg; one brother, Vincent Gallagher; one sister, Joann Wilson; and two grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; one son, Michael; one brother, John; and one sister, Tara.
