CROSSLAKE — Myrne Jeanette Holmen, 77, of Crosslake went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 2, 2013. Myrne was born Feb. 24, 1936, in Comfrey, Minn., to Paul and Ada (Cunningham) Current. Myrne graduated from Comfrey High School and married Arlen Holmen on Nov. 26, 1955, and they were married for 49 years before he went to be with the Lord on Nov. 24, 2004. During those years Myrne was a house wife, mother to three children, grandmother, cook, secretary and camp mom.

STAPLES — Geraldine (Geri) Simon, age 83, of Staples, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at Faith Lutheran Church in Staples with Pastor Stephen Sveom officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather Sunday afternoon from 3-5 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday morning. Interment will be at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

RANDALL — Cecilia Mary Kempenich, 80, of Randall, died Thursday, May 1, 2013, at Epiphany Assisted Living in Coon Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, at St. James Catholic Church in Randall. Family and friends are invited to gather Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall and one hour prior to Mass on Monday at the church. Interment will take place in St. James Catholic Cemetery.
