Richard A. “Dick” Johnson was born on June 17, 1927, to Edith and Adolph Johnson of Verndale, Minn. He died Dec. 8, 2012, in Port Charlotte, Fla.

Loris Williams, age 92, of Brainerd, Minn., formerly of Park Rapids/Nevis, Minn., areas passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Good Samaritan House in Brainerd.

Funeral services will be 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Baxter, Minn., and 2 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal, Minn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the churches. Interment will be in Minneopa Cemetery in Mankato, Minn.

Marilyn Jones, 79-year-old resident of Brainerd, Minn., passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Harmony House in Brainerd, Minn. Funeral arrangements are pending with Shelley Funeral Chapel in Brainerd, Minn.

Joseph Rezac, age 69, of Brainerd, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at his home.

Joe was born on Dec. 17, 1943, in Bismarck, N.D., to Frank and Julia (Wald) Rezac. The family moved back to his father’s original homestead in Park Rapids in 1946 where Joe grew up.

Joe graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1961, Bemidji State in 1965, with a bachelor of science degree and 1974 with a master’s degree. In 1989 he completed his post graduate works in exercise physiology.
