Edward C. Rolfson, age 88, of Brainerd, formerly of Mankato, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel in Mankato. Visitation will be from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and will continue one hour before services at the chapel.

Winifred “Winnie” M. Weisinger, 86, of Brainerd died on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at St. Cloud Hospital. Services for Winnie will be held on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with the Rev. Mr. Mike Koecheler officiating. A lunch will be held after services at the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room. Interment will be at the Ely Cemetery.

De SMET, S.D. — James M. Boser, 71, De Smet, S.D., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and close friends on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Services have been set for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in De Smet with Father Shane Stevens and Father Cathal Gallagher officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Lastrup, Minn. Visitation hours will be 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 at St.

ALPINE, Texas — Daniel was called home on Feb. 11, 2011, in Alpine, Texas. He was born on June 15, 1955, in St. Peter, Minn. He was baptized July 28, 1955, and confirmed on Oct. 5, 1969. He went through the Brainerd school system graduating in 1973. He graduated from Bemidji State and went on to get his doctorate in industrial education from Texas A&M. He was a professor at Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas. He married Lesley Mudford of Brainerd on June 26, 1976.
