Donna M. McDermond, 82, of Brainerd, died on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Assumption Home in Cold Spring, Minn. Funeral services for Donna will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Pastor Doug Vagle officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.

Joyce Wheeler, age 80, of Brainerd, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. She was born on April 17, 1931, in Lake City to Walter and Lenora (Michaelsen) Prigge. She grew up in Lake City and graduated from Lincoln High School. After school she moved to Minneapolis, where she worked in a bank. She married Wayne Wheeler and they later divorced. She moved to Illinois and then moved back to Lake City in the late 90s to help take care of her mother, and worked at Jostens in Red Wing until retiring.

Brian William Jensen, age 5, died at his home in Brainerd. Brian was born in Brainerd Jan. 25, 2007.
Our lives have been blessed with you for the past five years. Your beautiful smile, your sparkling eyes, your bubbly personality. You touched the lives of all that knew you and were able to be a part of your life. Although you were taken from us far too soon, your life means so much and will be cherished forever. We all love you Brian and miss you more than words can ever express.

Fayne Lucille Hall, 90, of Brainerd, died on Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Good Samaritan Village-Bethany in Brainerd, Minn. Funeral services for Fayne will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd with the Rev. Dr. Ed Morgan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be Oakland Cemetery at a later date.

Denise June Marks, 60, of Brainerd, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Kristin Oltmann officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and one hour prior to services Thursday morning at the church. Interment will be held at Dykeman Union Cemetery.

William (Bill) Henry Mallory, age 83 years and 14 days, was welcomed home by God on April 5, 2012. Bill was born on March 22, 1929 to William (Bud) Henry Mallory, Sr. and Irma Mallory in St Louis, Mo. He spent his childhood years in Belleville, Ill. and graduated from Brainerd High School in 1947.

BACKUS — Daniel George Noerenberg, age 81, of Backus, passed away Saturday April 7, 2012 at his home. He was born to Ludwig and Lydia (Urbach) Noerenberg in Holly Township, Carver City, Minn., on Dec. 9, 1930. Daniel graduated from Watertown High School and served in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. He married Lorraine Schultz on Feb. 23, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown. Daniel worked as a truck driver then as a welder at Advance Machine for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and raising sheep.
