Orvis A. Twombly, 96, of Brainerd, died on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at Good Samaritan Village-Bethany in Brainerd. Services for Orvis will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Dave Holte officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Scattering Gardens.

Lorraine Irene Goodrich, age 76, resident of Brainerd, formerly of Staples, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society - Bethany.
Lorraine was born July 12, 1935, in Staples, Minn., to Lloyd and Ollie (Simkins) Goodrich. Lorraine loved embroidering and making baby quilts. She worked for the D.A.C. in both Browerville and Brainerd. She was a resident of the Brainerd Manor for the past 25 years.
Survivors include her sisters, Margaret Giese, Delores Flategraff, Mary Tautges and Diane Gregersen; brothers, Harold, John, and Bill Goodrich; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.

AITKIN — Edith H. Tully, age 96, of Aitkin, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at the Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin.
She is survived by Mike and Julie Cartie, of Cold Spring, Minn., Jack and Ann Rutger, of Bay Lake, Mae Heglund, of Crosby, Jane Bobich, of Grand Rapids, Minn., Larry Fuller, of Seattle, Ann Fuller, of Seattle, Marcie Rivers, of Foley, Minn., and Ton and Marybeth Antonsen, of Bay Lake; and also other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Bay Lake Cemetery. Services were with the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.
