BAXTER — Betty Jessen, age 65, of Baxter, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born to Roy and Mabel Noreen on July 31, 1947, in Brainerd. She married the love of her life, Randy Jessen on Sept. 6, 1969, in Brainerd.

DETROIT LAKES — Marian I. Siekas, 92, Detroit Lakes, Minn., died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call 5-7 p.m. with a service of remembrance at 7 p.m. Friday at David-Donehower Funeral Home. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

LaVonne June Fuglie Paulson, age 76, passed away on April 8, 2013, at 12:20 a.m. while at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, after a two-month battle with an unidentified illness. Services will be Friday, April 12, 2013, at Glen Cary Lutheran Church in Ham Lake, Minn., with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Oak Park Cemetery following the service.
