Shirley A. Schwietz passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Rudy Swelland; and sister, Judy Cunningham. Survived by husband of 57 years, David Schwietz; children, Cynthia Schwietz, David (Christina) Schwietz; granddaughters, Chloe and Annika; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

PINE RIVER — Nancy Jeanne (Hines) Atwood, 89, of Pine River, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at her residence. She was born Jan. 22, 1924, in St. Paul. She was a U.S. Marine Corps Women’s Reserve Veteran serving active duty from May 12, 1944, to Dec. 20, 1945. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Atwood; and her parents. Nancy is survived by family and friends.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at Maple Hill Cemetery, Walden Township, rural Pine River. Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.

AITKIN — Daniel E. Quast, 65, of Aitkin, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at his residence. He was born Dec. 25, 1947, in Chaska to Melvin and Lucille (Lambrecht) Quast. He graduated from Robbinsdale High School. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Daniel was united in marriage to Diane M. (Dockendorf) March 4, 1984. They lived in Elk River prior to moving to Aitkin in 1991. They owned Quast Construction. He was preceded in death by his parents.

CROSSLAKE — Virginia “Ginny” Steuber, 97, of Crosslake, died on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Golden Horizons in Crosslake, Minn. Services for Ginny will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Mission of the Cross Lutheran Church in Crosslake, Minn. Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Princeton on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 3:30 p.m.
