LAKE SHORE — David Gene Skaalerud, 69, of Lake Shore, died at his home Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Pastor David Uhrich officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services.

1959-2012
On Feb. 1, 2012, we lost John Matthew Nesheim to lung cancer. Born to Marjorie and Kenneth Nesheim on March 8, 1959, both preceding him in death. John is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Amanda; son, Matthew; daughters, Kelsey and Kelly; eight brothers, Bob, Jake, Ludwig, Dick, Jim, Doug, Mark, and Byron; four sisters, Jean, Judy, Kay and Elaine; 13 nieces and nephews; and many friends.

PINE RIVER — George Michael Mekola, age 84, died Feb. 7, 2012, at his home in Pine River. His wife of 58 years and family were by his side.
George is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Carl (Deb), Howard (Chris), Wayne and Kevin; daughters, JoAnne, Becky and Stella. George had seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at The Warehouse in Pine River on Friday, Feb. 10, from noon until 2:30 p.m.

BAXTER — Irene Marie Becker, 80, of Baxter, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Excelsior Place in Baxter. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
