BAXTER — Irene Marie Becker, 80, of Baxter, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Excelsior Place in Baxter. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Jim Halloran lost his courageous battle against cancer on Feb. 2, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society-Woodland. He and his loving wife of 64 years, Lindee, have had a full and wonderful life including traveling and quality time with family.
Jim was born in Browerville, Minn., on Nov. 13, 1922. He continued to be proud of where he came from and went to reunions often and maintained contact with his classmates. He served in World War II as a Merchant Marine where he met his wife, an Army nurse.

MOORHEAD — Ingeborg (Ing) Adeline Asleson, 87, of Moorhead, Minn., passed away Feb. 4, 2012, at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, N.D., surrounded by her family.
Ingeborg Adeline Raun was born on May 27, 1924, near Ulen, Minn., to Burton and Agnes (Lunde) Raun. Ing was confirmed at Swan Valley Lutheran Congregation in 1938. She graduated from Ulen High School in 1942.

MOTLEY — Alfred John Eckes, 75, of rural Motley, died Feb. 3, 2012, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Motley with Father Arlie Sowada officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Interment will take place at Swan Valley Cemetery. Family would like to invite all to gather for a luncheon at the Leader Community Hall following services.
