AITKIN — Anita Baldovin, 89, of Aitkin, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Aitkin. The Rev. David Becker will officiate. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin. A prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Hill Lake Cemetery, Hill City.

BOONE, Iowa — Lori Lynn Gau Van Cannon, 44, of 822 West Fourth St., in Boone, Iowa, passed away at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa, on Saturday evening, April 19, 2014.

She was born on July 25, 1969, in Brainerd, Minn., the daughter of Thomas A. and Linda S. (Laurian) Gau.

On April 21, 2001, she married David Lee Van Cannon at the First Evangelical Free Church in Boone.

OAK GROVE — Vernon Bruce Cretinon, age 68, resident of Oak Grove, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Parmly Nursing Home in Chisago City. Vern was born on April 30, 1945, in Everette, Mass. He served his country in the navy from 1963-1968. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and friends; he was a jack of all trades and always willing to help others. His positive, fun-loving personality will be missed by all.

Edmund Francis Brand, age 74, of Brainerd, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Ed was born on April 25, 1939, in St. Paul to Edmund and Sophia (Tax) Brand.

Ed was a veteran of the United States Air Force. On Aug. 29, 1964, Ed married Carol Schwartz.

DULUTH — Father Thomas M. Radaich, age 70, died Monday, April 21, 2014, at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. Father Tom was born April 4, 1944, in Duluth to Paul and Loretta (Hazelcamp) Radaich. He attended college at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn., and Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., studied philosophy at Mount St. Paul College in Waukesha, Wis., and Theology at St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul. He was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Paul Anderson at St. Cecilia Church in Nashwauk, Minn., on June 5, 1970.

PEQUOT LAKES — Eleanor Pace, age 79, of Pequot Lakes, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at Heritage House in Pequot Lakes. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Remick on Nov. 7, 1934.

Eleanor is survived by her sons, Curtis Pace, of Pequot Lakes, Edwin Pace (Shawna), of Pillager, Timothy Pace, of Little Falls; grandchildren, Jacob Pace (Jenna), Sarah Pace, Jeffrey Pace, Robert Pace, Laura Helstrom (Brett), Matthew Pace; great-grandchild, Abigail Pace; and daughter-in-law, Ann Pace.

IRONTON — Charles “Chuck” M. Zeman, 85, resident of Ironton, formerly a Chicago area resident, was called home to Christ on Monday, April 21, 2014. Chuck was born in Chicago June 30, 1928, to Charles and Mary (Malecha) Zeman. He attended Morton (Illinois) High School and the Illinois Institute of Technology (ITT) and worked in industry and manufacturing.
