(Photo) A cattle truck and a semi collided at the junction of Hwys 210 and 371 at noon yesterday. The driver and passenger in the cattle truck were taken to the hospital. Steve O’Rourke of Brainerd Ambulance helped play cowboy in roping the escaped cattle.

Brainerd’s city council has agreed to borrow $7,500 from the Water and Light Dept. so that the city recreation commission can buy the lights and poles at Memorial Park baseball field. Taxes will be raised so the city can repay the money in 1954.

Seth Phillips killed a big timber wolf near Sylvan on Thursday and mailed the hide to the Cass County auditor as evidence for the $7.50 bounty. The hide will bring $4, making the neat total sum of $11.50.
