The Warrior hockey team had their biggest offensive night in nine seasons, beating Little Falls 13-3. Pete Younghans had 2 goals and 2 assists, Jerr Johnson and Mark Johnson both had hat tricks, and Jason Johnson – Jerr’s twin brother – had three assists.

Because of the number of flu cases in the Brainerd area, officials at St. Joseph’s Hospital are asking people not to visit the hospital. It would be better for patients if people would send cards or letters and restrict all visits with patients.
60 years ago (1952)
A reunion of five Brainerd sailors, serving with the Navy in Korean waters, was held in Yokosuka, Japan. Two boys, Warren Bloomstrom and James Melby, serve on the USS Marshall. The others were Art Meyers, Marty Olson and Dennis Flanagan.
80 years ago (1932)
Brainerd’s Warriors were back in their domain today following a 27-22 basketball victory at Little Falls. The margin widened when Elmer Foster entered the game in the 3rd quarter. Foster went scoring wild, finding the Little Falls cage for six field goals.
100 years ago (1912)
In moving a small building along the railway tracks near the YMCA building, the driver, it is said, collided with the ornamental light post and reduced it to fragments. The total damage will come to over $100.
