An omnibus hearing was set for Nov. 20 for a Brooklyn Park man accused of selling a 4-year-old boy to a Deerwood couple for $7,000. The 43-year-old man made a brief appearance before Judge Clinton Wyant, and is charged with false imprisonment.

All year-round open roads will be protected again this year by snow fencing. Driving of posts is complete and fencing will go up after frost sets in. The county highway department will place 8 miles of fence and the state will put up 32 miles in the district.

James Cullen's old horse, which served him faithfully for 22 years, was ordered chloroformed by him and Dr. C. A. Nelson performed the act which sent the animal to horse heaven. He was 28 years old and one of the most docile horses in the city.
