Joshua Dixon is likely going to have a nickname — most likely Stormy or Crash. He was born Friday after his mother was involved in a two-vehicle collision in Thursday night's Halloween blizzard. Josh, and parents Kip and Jodi Dixon, are all doing fine today.

Somewhere in the rugged badlands of Theodore Roosevelt National Park at Medora, N.D., is a purebred Arabian colt, raised near Brainerd, and learning to survive with the wild horses. He was released by Les and Linda Sellnow to help improve the gene pool there.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church parish celebrated its centennial last night with a church service and dinner at the church. The Rt. Rev. Philip McNairy was the main speaker, and retired rector, Rev. Edward G. Barrow, gave memories of his 35 years in Brainerd.

The Ingalls Motor Boat Co., ever ready to supply the wants of their patrons, will commence construction of the “City of Deerwood,” sister launch to the “Twin City,” to ply Serpent Lake. It will be 40 feet long, nine foot beam, and have a 40 horse power engine.
