Kaye Frey, news director for radio stations KKIN and KEZZ in Aitkin for the past 11 years, will retire from the station this month. She was a board member and president of the Northwest Broadcasters Assn., and is a correspondent for the Brainerd Dispatch.

Miss Sharon Koering, daughter of the Jack Koerings, Brainerd, has been selected for membership in the United States of America All-Student Band. The band will be performing concerts in ten European countries this summer.

Construction of the new St. Joseph's Hospital will begin in May, barring unforeseen delays. Seven contractors are expected to submit bids. The new, 119-bed hospital will be built on the plot of ground south of the present hospital.

Brainerd high school and all citizens are proud to entertain the district and regional basketball tournaments this week and next in Brainerd. Supt. W. C. Cobb has asked Brainerd fans to sit in the east half of the gym, leaving the west half for visitors.

Whether the Sunday delivery of mail through the windows at the Brainerd post office shall be discontinued will be decided by a vote of postal patrons. The business community, the Ministerial Assn. and the trade unions already expressed their opinions.
