for the thousands of workers from colleges, churches and households around Minnesota who were offended by the implications of these amendments. Their ground swelling support combatted the most expensive outlay by amendment proponents in Minnesota history and won!
Minnesota Nice personified!
Minnesota Proud
I am very proud to be a Minnesotan today! We turned back these two horrible amendments and sent our local Tea Party representative packing and reelected President Obama.
Way to go Minnesota!
Correction
Need to include all those blank votes that might have been offended by the implications of those amendments. Without them (swing votes) the new day might not be so bright.
HeyMarsbar/Minnesnowda/Earthy lady-Where's Tay
What happened to Tay Stevenson. It must have been that PHANTOM black truck that was running around Brainerd yesterday with the flags and Carrie Ruud signs on it. I think we conservatives should buy more black trucks. It sounds like someone was "stalking" Brainerd in a black truck yesterday. Quick, file charges.
Tea Party went down last night
Rick Nolan sends Chip Cravaack packing to New Hampshire.
John Ward handily wins over Chris Kellett.
Joe Radinovich wins over Dale Lueck.
Gary Scheeler tromps Jeff Czeczok.
Ousted GOP Senator Paul Koering wins a county commissioner seat. Few write in's for Monte Jensen.
DFL Governor, DFL Senate and DFL House.
Michelle Bachman nearly lost to a DFL'er.
Klobuchar wins a landslide over TP Bills.
Barack Obama is still our President.
And BOTH amendments went down last night.
Minnesota has spoken.
Tea party went down
You're absolutely right. Your welfare, food stamps and government jobs are now secure for another 2 years. And you don't have to worry about taxes going up because only working people pay taxes.
Earthy
We don't need a 'play by play'..................we CAN read.
I'm just bummed that I couldn't have 'eye candy' for four years and now I just have to keep looking at ugh.
: )
Having Alan Grayson back in the US House
and Elizabeth Warren in the Senate will elevate both of those bodies.
Bye Bye, Allen West and Joe Walsh. I guess I wasn't alone in thinking you two were always an embarrassment.
What did cause the massive defeat of the GOP brand?
Happy Trails to some Tea in the GOP...
Some moderate republicans to return in the future, perhaps.?.
The electorate is changing...
Dow Jones down 300
Bush's fault!
Tay Stevenson lost?
Bush's Fault!!
Rick Nolan sends Chip Cravaack packing to New Hampshire.
Bush's Fault!!
Who is OBAMA going to blame for the next 4 years???
Bush!!
Sorry you're having a bad day, LLR.
Sorry you're having a bad day, LLR.
Not having a bad day at all,
looking forward to this train wreck of a President unfold.
Why are you having a bad day... if your a Lib, remember it's Bush's Fault!!
Good one's LLR
GOLD STAR!!!!!
The gracious words of Mitt Romney's concession speech, in
which he prays for the success of the President's (America's) next term, and openly encourages compromise and bipartisan solutions, and LLR, "looking forward to this train wreck of a President unfold". Why would anyone wish for the failure of America? I'm totally confused by this kind of sentiment.
can't blame all of this on Bush
There are many factors that led up to the financial disaster of 2008, but I would never blame all of them on President Bush. In fact, I lay most of the blame at the feet of the financial institutions and corporations that acted so irresponsibly during the last decade. And the rest of us somehow thought that if government just stepped out of the way, the market would right itself. Wrong!!!
Did President Bush do all that he could to counteract this? No.
2012 Platform
I guess the liberals needed to be victorious to find out what the platform for the next four years will be.
No excuses from here on in, can't blame Bush anymore and telling lies(Libya) will not help either. Feel good speeches targeted for votes are out of play this time also. The floor belongs to the victor, the victor must prove it by action and not colorful words. It's all your game now, time to get off the bench and show that the skill is there to play the game.
BTW- Stock Market Down, price of gas on the rise, go figure, eh?
You're
You're learning LLR!
crude oil prices fell today, myeye
Light, sweet crude for December delivery fell $4.27, to settle at $84.44 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the lowest settlement level since July and the largest one-day drop in nearly a year. Brent crude oil on the ICE Futures Europe exchange dropped $4.25, or 3.8%, to $106.82 a barrel
Yep, now maybe we can see
Yep, now maybe we can see what he has in store for the next 4 years, since he wouldn't lay out an agenda before the vote. Oh where have we seen that before. Oh that's right... Obamacare. And we'll see how great an accomplishment that turns out to be as we all fall off the cliff.
I guess the Mayan's must have been right when their calendar ended this year. It is the end of an era of freedoms, and a new beginning of slavery in our lifetime. Slavery to the state. We're all owned for the rest of our lives.
Freunlaven: Costco has some good sales for your
bunker. I already apologize. I shouldn't be so rude. I get it that some folks are worried. I would have been similarly, hugely worried if Mr. Romney had been elected. In your opinion, Freunlaven, is there no point of compromise between the Dem's and Repub's in Congress?
Bubba
There is zero compromise when it comes to racism...
December gas prices
Well then , I can see that you have adjusted to the new norm. Even at $3.00/gal. this is far to high to put the new tires on the truck, but I still can feel good about fixing a flat because gassing it up will cost less than $3.50/gal.
Anyway this will not be a issue in the future with energy independence. Funny how this was a bad idea for the Republican platform but is one of four points for the newly released Democrat platform that resemble the same four points of the Republican platform that was so evil and bad.Yep, bring down the debt, reduce regulations on small business, income tax reform and become energy independent. Like I stated earlier, I guess you had to vote him in to find out what the platform is for the next four years.
itterbitter
you are right i just wish you democrats knew what racism is. most of you are to young or foolish to know.
The Art Of Compromise...Is the United States of America...
