MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie says it might take until Wednesday until all election results are tallied in St. Louis County.
Not only is the county the largest geographically in Minnesota, but some ballots will be counted by hand because of write-in candidates in District 7B, which includes part of Duluth. Kerry Gauthier withdrew from a re-election campaign in the wake of a sex scandal.
Ritchie tells WCCO-TV (http://tinyurl.com/ayqgkzz ) that St. Louis County has traditionally been one of the last reporting counties because of its size. But, because of hand counting, results from Tuesday's election might not be known until 1 a.m. or 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Statewide, Ritchie expects 500,000 or more voters to register at the polls.

Add commentWe were telling him to resign.
He is an idiot.
Did Kurt ask Amy to resign?
Didn't think so.
The DFL Leadership asked that dude above to quit his race so someone else could run as there was a time limit to replace him on the ballot. But he did not.

Don't forget the ballets in the trunk (the ones we filled out last week) thanks,
K. Gauthier

Sorry, trip,

"I'm heading out now to vote........again."
LOL Wolf!
I witnessed something really amazing
A mother helping her blind son to vote....simply amazing. He did vote for Obama, but at least he voted. I was quite a bit more proud to be an American at that moment. We do live in a great country
Then
Then you should have done your civic duty and said something to an election judge. There are people there to help the disabled. I'm sure she(his mom) already knew how he was voting anyway. Blind doesn't mean he's deaf or dumb. How do you know who he voted for, were you watching, or are you just trying to be funny?
how do I know Nan?
I know because she read the nominees and he stated who he wanted to vote for...and it was right next to me at Riverside school.
Maybe it was a person there to help...i assumed it was his mother because she came in with him and was the next in line behind me.
Nan, you just earned the ignore list. I wasnt trying to be funny, I was being proud. You, Nan, are a fool and should be ashamed of yourself.
It is easy to hear when you are less than a foot away from the next person voting.
Nan, you are whats wrong with this country
My experience at the poll place
So I get into my polling place to the first table (which is the 'register' table, as we all know). The election judge says 'you need to tell me your last name'. I said 'I'm already a registered voter.' She said 'WELL I HOPE SO!.'
She said 'well I need to get back to my quilt making.'
LOL! Too funny, but maybe a little scary.
Have
You made it sound snarly the way you commented. Sorry that I read you wrong IDWD. Last election there was the static about special needs people voting and I figured with your nickname and your remarks about him voting for President Obama, I had the right to say what I did. Many, including YOU have said worse. I'm not crying being on your ignore list.
