Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl reports that 33-year-old Charles Alvin Weber of Emily has once again been arrested by Crow Wing County investigators. Weber had previously been arrested on Feb. 13 for numerous burglaries in the Emily area. He posted bail on Feb. 14 and was released from custody.
On Tuesday, Crow Wing County investigators had contact with Weber at his residence in Emily. Weber was given a drug test as required by his probation officer. Weber tested positive for methamphetamine and was placed under arrest. As a result of this arrest, investigators were able to gather additional information and work with the Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office to charge Weber with additional crimes related to burglaries in the Emily area.
Weber appeared in Crow Wing County Court on Thursday where he was held on $100,000 bail and $50,000 bond on the new charges.
“My office has taken numerous calls in reference to Mr. Weber, Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl said. “They have all indicated that they feel terrorized by Mr. Weber and that is something I am not going to stand for. We will do whatever it takes to put these types of individuals in our community in jail for as long as possible.”
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emily Police Department along with the Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office in this investigation.
