CROSBY — A 24-year-old Crosby woman is in custody Tuesday after allegedly kidnapping her 9-month-old son who was in foster care, Crosby Police Chief Kim Coughlin said.
Coughlin said the mom picked up her son at foster care in Crosby and then left on foot.
The child was reported missing at 12:40 p.m. Authorities found the woman and the child at 2:30 p.m. walking on Third Street Southwest and Fourth Street in Crosby. The child was not harmed.
The woman is in Crow Wing County Jail pending formal criminal charges for kidnapping and deprivation of custodial rights.
