Pierz man arrested for selling meth
A 44-year-old Pierz man was arrested Friday for allegedly selling methamphetamine from his residence, Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel reported.
Wetzel said the arrest came after authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on 310 Third Ave. NW in Pierz. The warrant was a result of a six-month investigation conducted by the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force. The investigation was initiated after nearby citizens had complained of extremely high traffic at all hours of the day, in and out of the trailer. Long term surveillance of the residence revealed that the primary occupant, the Pierz man, had sold methamphetamine from the residence.
The Morrison County CIRT Team entered the residence and investigators located approximately 10 grams of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.
In addition to the arrest of the man, a 38-year-old St. Anthony woman was arrested at the scene for outstanding burglary warrants and a 20-year-old Oak Grove woman also was arrested at the scene for obstructing legal process. All three were transported to the Morrison County Jail where they are currently in custody.
Assisting in the investigation and search were the Pierz and Little Falls police departments, Gold Cross Ambulance and Pierz Fire Department.
