VEHICLE COMPLAINT — Officer responded Feb. 13 to First Street and Hallett Avenue after receiving a complaint of two vehicles in a parking lot there that were “whipping doughnuts.” Though officers do like this type of pastry, we cannot have that due to safety issues. Officer was unable to locate the vehicles involved.

SUSPICIOUS — A report Saturday of an unoccupied vehicle parked on First Street Southwest that was running for more than four hours. Officer made contact with the registered owner who stated they thought they had shut the vehicle off.

JUVENILE — A report Thursday on Third Avenue Northwest of juvenile males throwing snow onto the highway. Officer located two juvenile males in the area and spoke with them about the dangers of this and they cleaned things up.

THEFT — A report Feb. 11 of a theft of a snowmobile from a residence in Ironton. Snowmobile was located later, abandoned on Winona Avenue, a short distance away.

A report Feb. 12 of a theft of propane from a residential tank on First Street Southwest.

ARREST — A 30-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested Feb. 11 for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, false name to police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant.

Brainerd police

ARRESTS — Five people were arrested at 1:24 a.m. Tuesday for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop on the 1300 block of Oak Street. Those arrested were a 29-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman, a 32-year-old woman, a 25-year-old man and a 43-year-old man.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at 5:09 p.m. Friday on the 700 block of Industrial Park Road for third-degree driving while intoxicated and second-degree refusal to test.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested at 1:41 p.m. Friday for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

THEFT — A report at 6:02 p.m. Monday that the complainant witnessed a male stealing out of her vehicle on the 300 block of South Seventh Street. Nothing was reported missing.

A report at 8:10 a.m. Monday on the 300 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast of someone trying to break-in into a vehicle and destroying the dash board.

A report at 6:27 a.m. Monday of a vehicle that was stolen out of the driveway on the 300 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast.

A report at 6;15 a.m. Monday that two unlocked vehicles were broken into on the 400 block of Third Avenue Northeast.

A report at 7:56 a.m. Sunday of a theft of a tool box from the back of a truck on the 900 block of Beech Street. The tool box was found a half of block away from the residence in the snowbank. Nothing was missing.

SUSPICIOUS — A report at 11:12 a.m. Sunday of people trying to break into the bank on Main Street.

A report at 12:27 a.m. Saturday of an individual sleeping in the entry way of an apartment on North Heath Street.

THEFT — A report of a theft of gasoline at 8:12 p.m. Friday in Jenkins.

A report of a theft of gasoline at 7:42 p.m. Friday in Jenkins.
