ARRESTS — A 20-year-old woman was arrested after a report at 7:42 a.m. Sunday that a female was at Walmart Supercenter, 7295 Glory Road, for several hours. The woman was arrested for fifth-degree possession of drugs, possession of a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and underage possession of alcohol.
A 26-year-old man was arrested at 11:27 p.m. Saturday for second-degree driving while intoxicated (DWI) on Edgewood Drive after a report of a driving complaint.
INFORMATION — Brainerd Fire Department Friday reported trying to use a fire hydrant and found it to be frozen. The hydrant was located on the west side of a residence that reported a structure fire on Clearwater Road.
THEFT — Reichert Bus Service, 8342 Industrial Park Road, Friday reported a theft from a bus.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — A report Monday of several mailboxes that were damaged on Gayle Drive, Riverwood Drive and Caroline Lane. It appears that the subjects were on foot and removed some of the mailboxes completely or caused other damage to them.
ASSAULT — Police were called at 6:15 p.m. Sunday for a possible assault on the 700 block of Third Street Northeast. The complainant indicated a male subject came to his door asking for a laptop computer he was in the process of buying from the female accompanying him who was seated in the passenger seat of the vehicle. The complainant said he was assaulted by the male with a shovel. He said the male subject then left with the female and he called police. Police spoke with the male subject, who said he went to the complainant’s door asking him for either the money owed or the laptop owned by the female party mentioned. He said the complainant became angry yelling at him to get off his property. He said the complainant had a black baton in his hand and swung it at him. The male subject grabbed a shovel to protect himself. He said he brought the shovel up to defend or avoid getting hit by the complainant. The end of the shovel contacted the complainant’s face area causing injury. The male and female then left the residence. As they were doing so the complainant’s son came out of the residence and struck the female in the side of the head with his fist through the car window. They then left the residence and said they received multiple threats by phone from the complainant to shoot them with a gun.
BURGLARY — A report at 1 p.m. Saturday of an attempted break-in on the 1200 block of Third Avenue Northeast.
A report at 3:32 p.m. Friday of a burglary on the 200 block of Sixth Street Southwest.
THEFT — A theft was reported at 11:18 a.m. Wednesday at Centra Sota, 400 block of Fifth Street Northeast.
