Albany man arrested for burglary in Morrison County
BOWLUS — A 23-year-old Albany man was arrested Tuesday after carrying a machete in a home he broke into near Bowlus in Elmdale Township, reported the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office received a report of a burglary in progress at 6 p.m. Tuesday with gunshots possibly being fired. Deputies responded to a residence in Elmdale Township and learned the suspect had fled the scene. It was later determined that no gun shots were fired. The suspect gained entry into the residence by kicking in the front door, while carrying a machete.
The suspect was located at a residence in Albany and taken into custody. He was transported to the Morrison County Jail and is being held pending the filing of formal first-degree burglary charges.
