SUSPICIOUS — A Bowlus resident Sunday reported receiving a text from an unknown number that states “I hid the body ... now what?” Officer advised resident that it could possibly be an attempt from some type of advertisement agency or a scam.
A report Sunday that a male was trying to get into a house in Hillman, who was standing on the deck, pounding on one of the doors and was looking through the windows. An officers arrived and located a male outside the house and held him at gunpoint until another officer arrived. There also was a vehicle stuck in the ditch that was close to the residence with two occupants inside. It was determined that the male at the residence was trying to contact someone for help. It was very cold outside at this time. The male had removed a screen from one of the windows on the house as he was trying to make entry because he was freezing. Officer took the three occupants to Porky Pine Bar to get warm as they waited for a relative to pick them up.
SCAM — A Little Falls resident called Wednesday to report that she was looking through her email and received one from a friend who said she is being held with a knife to her throat and needs $2,000 sent to save her life. The officer told the woman that it’s a scam and to not reply to the email. The woman said had tried to call her friend about the email and the phone picked up and then the line went dead. She tried again and the answering machine picked up, but it also sounded mixed up and then hung up. The woman later got a hold of her friend and found out she was fine and that her computer had been hacked so she was having computer problems.
THEFT — A report at 12:31 p.m. Monday the theft of guns and case from a residence in Royalton.
DOMESTIC — A report at 12:09 a.m. Monday of two brothers getting into a physical altercation at a residence in Fort Ripley. The caller stated that one of the brothers pointed a rifle at the other.
ASSIST — Officers assisted the Little Falls Police Department Jan. 31 with a victim whose foot was run over by a forklift in Little Falls.
HARRASSMENT — A report Jan. 31 that the complainant was receiving harassing text messages from a woman’s boyfriend that said he was going to come down and meet him so he could beat his “explicit.” The complainant went to meet him, but he didn’t show up. The officer told the complainant to ignore the messages and to act his age.

ARREST — A 29-year-old man was arrested at 9:16 a.m. Wednesday for fifth-degree sale of marijuana mixture.
THEFT — A report at 2:33 p.m. Wednesday of a theft of a generator out of a shed on the 8000 block of Highway 371 in Brainerd.
