Man released in Cold Spring officer's death back in jail
BUFFALO, Minn. (AP) — A man who was arrested but not charged in the killing of a Cold Spring police officer is back in jail on a felony stalking charge.
Thirty-four-year-old Ryan Larson was booked into the Wright County Jail Friday.
Sheriff's Capt. Greg Howell tells the Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/UVCFuC ) Larson is again accused of violating conditions of his release on the stalking charge, but he was not specific. Larson was released from jail on Monday after posting bail. He was jailed for violating a no-contact order involving a former girlfriend. Charges against Larson say he repeatedly had contact and emailed the woman on Nov. 29, the night Cold Spring Officer Tom Decker was killed.
Decker was making a welfare check on Larson when the officer was killed behind a Cold Spring bar. Larson was jailed following the shooting and later released.
