Hearings set for Brainerd residents involved in meth lab
Two Brainerd residents — who allegedly were involved in the Oct. 15, 2012, methamphetamine manufacturing lab incident at an apartment complex in Brainerd — recently appeared in Crow Wing District Court.
Daniel John Hoffman, 22, and Jade Nicole Christian, 19, were charged with two counts of first-degree of manufacturing methamphetamines. Hoffman appeared Tuesday in front of Judge Richard Zimmerman, who set his next omnibus hearing for 1:30 p.m. Feb. 12. Christian appeared Dec. 19 in front of Judge Eric Askegaard, who set her next omnibus hearing for 9 a.m. Feb. 12.
According to the criminal complaint filed against the two residents, Hoffman and Christian fled the scene when the couch at their apartment unit at 420 South Seventh Street caught on fire. Authorities suspected they were manufacturing methamphetamine.
Hoffman and Christian turned themselves into authorities Nov. 26, 2012.
