Vehicle fires being investigated
Three vehicles were on fire early Thursday morning and the Brainerd Fire Department is suspecting possible arson.
Brainerd Fire Chief Kevin Stunek said two of the vehicles were fully engulfed upon arrival in a driveway in the alley on the 1300 block of Pine Street in Brainerd. The fires of the two vehicles were reported at 12:44 a.m. About 20 minutes later, another vehicle fire was reported about a block away on the 700 block of Southeast 14th Street. The third vehicle fire was minor, with the fire burning a hole in one of the seats, said Stunek.
The state fire marshal is assisting the fire department with the investigation. Anyone with information on the three vehicle fires is asked to contact the arson hotline at 800-723-2020.
