Court hearing continued for woman who burglarized HART

The 24-year-old Pillager woman charged with third-degree burglary that occurred at Heartland Animal Rescue Team (HART) in Baxter appeared Thursday in Crow Wing County District Court.

Sentencing was originally set for Samantha Jo Martin for Thursday however it was continued to 11:15 a.m. Nov. 15.

According to the criminal complaint, Martin admitted to going to HART; stealing the dog without paying the $600 in fees owed; letting out the other dogs; spray painting the building; causing damage to locks, law enforcement door and fences; and cutting the phone lines.
