FIRE — A report at 10:06 a.m. Thursday that someone started a small fire in the gazebo at the Northland Arboretum. An area of about one-foot was scorched.
SUSPICIOUS — A report at 10:46 a.m. Wednesday of a vagrant living in the woods, south of Imgrund Motors, along Highway 210.

WELFARE CHECK — A report at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday in Garrison requesting a welfare check on a dog.
ARRESTS — Vincent Beaulieu, 26, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday on Thiesse and Oakridge roads in Brainerd after a report of a white male in the middle of the road. He was arrested for felony theft.
Jake Hines, 24, was arrested at 2:17 a.m. Tuesday on Crow Wing County Road 25 for felony domestic assault by strangulation after the complainant reported that his older brother assaulted him.
SUSPICIOUS — A report at 4:12 p.m. Tuesday of a male person sleeping in a vehicle in her yard on Crow Wing County Road 9.
A report at 2:06 p.m. Tuesday of complainant taking picture of old abandon house at the intersection of Highway 169 and Linden Street in Garrison and something/someone moved the curtain. Requested a deputy to check and see if someone is living there.

ANIMAL — A report at 6:39 p.m. Wednesday that a dog has gone after the neighbor’s cats in Motley and they feel it is a danger.
A report at 10:09 p.m. Sept. 28 of a dead rabbit sitting next to the Ramey Store in Foley with a cigarette in its mouth and a beer bottle in one paw. The deputy learned that a couple of his friends had done it for a joke. The deputy told him that it has offended one person and it may offend some more customers and he may want to get rid of it. He said he is going to do that.
FIRE — A report at 4:43 p.m. Wednesday of a piece of machinery on fire behind Brandle motors in Little Falls.
A report at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday of a wooded area of approximately three acres on fire in Pierz.
A report at 6:08 p.m. Sept. 28 that a cornfield is on fire endangering building on 140th Street in Little Falls.

ARREST — Two men were arrested Sept. 29 after a traffic stop on Highway 210 near the intersection of Todd County Road 9 in Staples Township. David A. Jenson, 39, Rochert, was arrested for providing a false name to a police officer and Jon W. Muir, 49, Fergus Falls, was arrested for first-degree possession of a controlled substance aiding and abetting and providing a false name and other charges. A 55.7 grams of methamphetamine was seized.
