PROPERTY DAMAGE — A car versus bear crash reported at 12:42 p.m. Sunday along Crow Wing County Road 1 in Fifty Lakes.
A report at 7:51 a.m. Saturday of a vehicle in the swamp near Wise Road and Beaver Dam roads.
OTHER — A report at 5:12 p.m. Sunday where the complainant reported that his soon to be ex-wife called him.
A report at 2:03 p.m. Friday of a dog and bicycle crash on Tame Fish Lake Road in Deerwood.
ARREST — Jacob Whittenton, 27, was arrested at 7:56 p.m. Sunday for third-degree assault after a report of a possible rolling domestic in Merrifield.
WATER — A report at 9:22 p.m. Saturday of personal watercraft pulling tubes many times after hours on the east side of the big part of Big Pelican Lake.
A report at 8:19 p.m. Saturday of a house boat near the Wharf with a large group of males on it. The boat was reported to be about ready to tip over and people were throwing garbage into the lake. Several passengers jumped up onto the bridge, ran across Crow Wing County Highway 16, almost got hit by a vehicle and jumped back onto the boat.
SLUMPER — A report of a slumper at 1:13 a.m. Sunday.
ARRESTS — Jason Paul Kowalke, 27, of Ramsey, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. Saturday for fleeing in a motor vehicle/all-terrain vehicle (ATV), second-degree driving while impaired, second-degree refusal to test, driving after revocation and an outstanding warrant from Anoka County. Kowalke was arrested after an officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the area of Franklin Avenue on the ATV, which had two occupants. Kowalke, the driver, decided to flee from the officer, traveling westbound on Hematite Street from Franklin Avenue and into Ironton. The ATV came to a stop near the Ironton Park and the driver then fled on foot. The passenger stayed with the ATV. Officer chased the driver on foot and a while later, located and apprehended the driver near a house on Fifth Street, Ironton.
CRASH — A personal injury crash was reported at 5:38 p.m. Monday on Highways 371 and 210. The driver refused medical treatment.
ARREST — Michael Campbell, 43, was arrested at 12:39 a.m. Friday on the 500 block of Seventh Street Southeast for domestic assault, interfering with an emergency phone call and disorderly conduct.
