PIERZ — A 43-year-old rural Pierz woman was arrested Thursday for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, reported Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel.
Wetzel said Nancy Leona Meyer was arrested after his office received information that she had been attempting to hire a hit man to kill her ex-husband. Investigating deputies determined that Meyer had in fact solicited help from another individual and had even discussed payment for assistance in carrying out the murder. Meyer was transported to the Morrison County Jail after her arrest and is being held pending the preparation of a formal complaint.
Wetzel said no further details are available as the investigation has not been fully completed.
