Brainerd police

INTOXICATED — A report at 3:48 a.m. Sunday of a male lying in the middle of the roadway at East River Road and West College Drive. Officer transported male to the hospital for an evaluation.

SUSPICIOUS — A report at 9:01 p.m. Saturday of someone trying to start a fire on the complainant’s porch on the 200 block of Gillis Avenue.

ARRESTS — A 37-year-old man was arrested at 12:11 a.m. Sunday for disorderly conduct on the 1400 block of Eighth Avenue Northeast after a report of a male who is intoxicated, who shoved the complainant and disconnected her phone.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at 8:31 p.m. Saturday for shoplifting and fourth-degree damage to property after Northeast Liquors, 105 N.E. Washington St., reported that an employee was chasing a male toward Cub Foods. Officer located subject and Cub employee advised him that the suspect had broken the stolen bottle of wine in the store.

A 45-year-old man was arrested at 11:08 p.m. Friday for obstructing the legal process after officer made contact with a subject stumbling on the 200 block of South Ninth Street. The man refused arrangements to get home and was placed in detox hold. The man physically resisted officers.

THEFT — James Ziegler Sunday reported a theft of a car stereo from a vehicle on the 800 block of South Seventh Street.

Petro Plus Brainerd, 850 Lum Park Road, Sunday reported a theft of a frisbee valued at $18.95.

A theft was reported at 3:57 p.m. Saturday of eight beers and $15 in cash on the 400 block of East River Road. The complainant called back a short time later and stated she wanted nothing done.

A juvenile Saturday reported that her phone was taken from a friend’s car on the 800 block of Lum Park Road.

ASSAULT — A juvenile Sunday reported a male hit him after they each exchanged words at Quince Street and 10th Street.

A report at 11:52 p.m. Friday that the complainant was pushed down by an unknown female at The Hubb, 707 Laurel St.

Crow Wing sheriff

FIRE — A report at 2:06 p.m. Sunday of the complainant’s seeing a fire near the 25000 block of Crow Wing County Road 26 in Garrison. Garrison Fire was paged.

A grass fire was reported at 10:59 a.m. Sunday on the 14000 block of Crow Wing County Road 10 in Deerwood.

A gas leak was reported at 11:13 p.m. Saturday on the 22000 block of Ministers Point Road in Deerwood.

A report at 5:24 p.m. Friday of a fire that was 30-feet long on the 14000 block of Highway 6 in Deerwood.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Christopher Badowicz, Crosby, Sunday reported damage to doors of the residence.

ARRESTS — A 30-year-old man was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Crow Wing County Road 45 and Cook Road after a report of a domestic.

SUSPICIOUS — A report at 5:19 p.m. Saturday of a male carrying a suspicious item on South Fifth Street and Laurel Street.

THEFT — Robert Matthews, Forest Heights Drive, Brainerd, Saturday reported that a pole shed was broken into.

Kevin Pikula, Merrifield, Saturday reported a theft of a freezer, camping mattress and tires.

SHOOTING — A shooting complaint was reported at 9:43 p.m. Friday on the 6000 block of Estate Drive.

Baxter police

SUSPICIOUS — A report at 1:32 a.m. Monday of a vehicle parked in a “No Parking” zone on Memorywood Drive and Clearwater Road. Subjects reported that they were looking for fish in the stream.

A report at 10:05 a.m. Friday that the complainant’s recycle bin was found in the trees in the neighborhood on the 12000 block of Parkwood Drive.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Carol Lujan Sunday reported that someone knocked down eight mailboxes on the 7000 block of Greenwood Road. Officer arrived and reported that the mailboxes were not hit with a vehicle.

A report Friday that someone was throwing rocks at the complainant’s house and there was damage to the garage door on the 12000 block of Mountain Ash Drive.

ARRESTS — A 28-year-old man was arrested at 1:24 a.m. Sunday for driving while intoxicated on the 7000 block of Excelsior Road.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at 8:37 p.m. Saturday after a report of a disturbance on the 8000 block of Fairview Road.

A 26-year-old man was arrested at 7:07 p.m. Saturday for theft at Walmart, 7295 Glory Road.

Staples police

ARRESTS — A 22-year-old man was arrested at 12:38 a.m. Thursday for second-degree assault on the 1400 block of Third Street Northeast. It was reported that police were called to assist the Staples Ambulance when they observed the man who was combative and assaultive to officers. The man threatened several times to kill one of the officers and that he was going to come after him. He then pulled a knife and threatened to kill one of the officers. A family member restrained him to get the knife.

THEFT — The Staples Motley High School, 401 Centennial Dr., Wednesday reported a theft of checks and cash taken out of the secretary office.

Daryl Wellnitz April 2 reported a theft of his son’s bicycle on the 500 block of Warner Road Northeast.

Little Falls police

ARRESTS — A 30-year-old was arrested at 3:48 a.m. Sunday on the 800 block of Eighth Street Northeast after a report that a vehicle hit a tree in a yard. Officers located the registered owner who admitted drinking and showing signs of intoxication. The driver failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.

An 18-year-old was arrested at 1:48 a.m. Saturday after a report of a disturbance in the area of Seventh Avenue Southeast. At least three subjects fled on foot from the area.

THEFT — A report Saturday of a theft of the complainant’s son’s bike on the 800 block of Eighth Street Northwest.

A report Thursday of a theft of outdoor yard lights on the 100 block of 12th Street Southwest.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — A report Thursday that someone shot out the rear window of the complainant’s pick-up while it was parked on the 700 block of 11th Street Northeast.

Pequot Lakes police

ARREST — A subject was arrested at 1:24 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Highway 371 and Pine Tree Street.
