St. Cloud man accused of abusing leashed children
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — St. Cloud police have arrested a day-care helper after he was seen walking two children on leashes and pushing them to the ground.
The 67-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of malicious punishment of a child.
The St. Cloud Times (http://on.sctimes.com/z4Bi09 ) reports the man helps operate an in-home day care in St. Cloud with his wife.
A St. Cloud police spokesman says the children the man had on walking leashes were 3 and 4 years old. They were clients at the day care and not related to the man.
The children were treated and released from St. Cloud Hospital.
