Court date set in stabbing case
The 38-year-old St. Paul man accused of stabbing another man in a vehicle on Jan. 27, 2011, in Nisswa will next appear in court May 7.
Jon Martin Johnson, charged with felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, appeared Wednesday before Judge Richard Zimmerman in Crow Wing County District Court.
Johnson is accused of stabbing Timothy Porter three times while the two were in a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 371 and Crow Wing County Road 13 in Nisswa. According to court documents, the two men apparently got into a fight because Johnson wouldn’t take Porter home.
