LONGVILLE — The name of the Walker man who died after being stabbed Sunday was released Monday.
The man was identified as James Raymond Elmberg, 31, Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch said.
Burch stated Cass County authorities responded to a report of a stabbing in the Longville area early Sunday morning. Upon their arrival, deputies found a stabbing victim who was transported to the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, where he later died.
Burch reported the suspect, Frank Larose, a 23-year-old Longville man, was located a short time later in the Longville area. Larose was taken into custody by Cass County deputies in connection with the stabbing. He is currently being held in the Cass County Jail pending formal charges.
Burch reported the incident remains under investigation with an autopsy pending.
