RANDALL — Four people were arrested Sunday in two simultaneous investigations that occurred in connection with three separate Morrison County burglaries, Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel reported.
Wetzel said three rural Randall men — ages 41, 37 and 35 — are being held in the Morrison County Jail pending formal charges for theft and possession of stolen property. Wetzel said additional charges may be possible in connection with thefts from the Walmart store in Little Falls. The arrests were a result of two theft investigations that occurred Jan. 10 in Randall. OK Tire and Bait reported the theft of numerous tires and Kierstead Trucking reported the theft of gasoline and brake drums.
County deputies, Randall police officers and agents with the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force Sunday executed a search warrant at a residence in Enchanted Lakes, north of Randall. During the search, officers located several tires that had been identified as having been stolen from OK Tire and Bait, along with brake drums identified as having been stolen from Kierstead Trucking.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office Sunday also responded to a report of a burglary at a residence in Motley Township, where a garage and shed were broken into at a residence. Morrison County deputies developed a suspect after processing the crime scene and proceeded to the suspect’s residence in Cass County just north of the Morrison County line. Morrison and Cass County deputies then located the suspect who admitted his involvement in the Motley burglary. An air compressor stolen during the burglary was recovered from the suspect’s residence. A 29-year-old rural Motley man was arrested and is being held pending formal charges for burglary.
