Baxter police

THEFT — Holiday Station, 7400 block of Excelsior Road, Tuesday reported a $25.01 gas drive-off.

INJURY — A woman Tuesday reported a vehicle struck her in the Walmart parking lot on the 7200 block of Glory Road.

Brainerd police

ASSIST — Brainerd Fire was dispatched at 7:21 p.m. Wednesday to rescue five people stuck in an elevator at 410 East River Road. Brainerd firefighters responded and freed the people from the elevator prior to officers arriving.

Morrison sheriff

THEFT — Leighanne Holmes, 13000 block of Thomas Drive, Little Falls, Tuesday reported a theft.

Mark Justin, Little Falls, Tuesday reported a $500 chain saw was taken from his truck on Eve Lane.

Patrick Goff, 21000 block of Haven Road, Little Falls, Tuesday reported a theft.

Mary Jane Peine, Pierz, Friday reported a theft.

CRASH — Carter Loven, 14, Swanville, was injured when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving collided with a car about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Second Street and and Swan Avenue in Swanville. Loven was thrown from the ATV. Loven was reported to have a laceration on his head. The vehicle driver, Allen Scherping, 40, Swanville, was not reported injured. There was moderate damage to both vehicles.

FIRE — A large fire was reported Tuesday near the intersection of Nature Road and Great River Road, Bowlus.

Received a report of a machinery shed on fire Friday near Royalton with animals in the shed. The shed was engulfed in flames and help was given to family members to move calves next to the building. Royalton and Little Falls fire departments responded.

Todd County requested Motley Fire Department for a grass fire in Villard Township at 7:14 p.m. Wednesday. Motley Fire Department was paged.

Received a report of a fire by Darling Church, Little Falls, Saturday. It turned out to be a controlled burn to warm the ground for a burial.

A Hillman woman called at 1:36 p.m. Wednesday and stated that their wood boiler and wood pile were on fire in their yard. No structures were in danger and the propane take is over 100 yards away. Pierz Fire Department was paged.

FISH HOUSE — Received a report Tuesday of a fish house sinking on Crook Neck Lake.

Received a report Monday from Cushing that someone broke in the an Ice Castle fish house and took an ice auger, sled, batteries, snow blower and fishing items.

Numerous fish houses were reported broken into on Lake Alexander with numerous items missing.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Ripley One Stop, Little Falls, reported a mail box damaged along with one by the Canteen.

BURGLARY — A lock was reported cut on a storage unit in Hillman Monday.

Received a report of a burglary Thursday from Skyview Road in Hillman of numerous items taken including TVs, guns, Christmas presents and a small amount of cash.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Received a report from 273rd Street, Fort Ripley, of two chickens killed.

ARREST — Arrested a 22-year-old man after the State Patrol requested a follow-up to a pickup reportedly putting up pornographic pictures of women without clothing on side windows visible to passing traffic. The vehicle was stopped on Highway 371 near Fort Ripley. A passenger was arrested on a gross misdemeanor warrant and the others were given a verbal warning.

Crow Wing sheriff

THEFT —A report Wednesday of the theft of copper from Quick Construction on Whiteley Creek Trail.

PROPERTY DAMAGE —A homeowner on the 18000 block of State Highway 371 reported Wednesday that their trees were toilet papered sometime overnight.

Todd County sheriff

THEFT — Michael Peterson, Swanville, reported his fish house on Pepin Lake was broken into with numerous rod and reel combinations, batteries and a cordless drill. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (320) 732-2157.
