FLIGHT — A passenger was reminded what not to include with the carry-on luggage early Tuesday at the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport. Brainerd police, who provide flight security, noted a passenger had a prohibited item in his carry-on luggage, namely .22 caliber ammunition in a backpack. Brainerd Police Chief Corky McQuiston said the ammunition was destroyed and the passenger was allowed to board the plane. McQuiston said the ammunition was unintentionally left in the backpack, which occasionally happen as passengers carry Mace pepper spray or other items in pockets and forget about them being there.

ARRESTS — A 41-year-old man was arrested Monday on the 300 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast for a felony probation violation after a verbal domestic was reported.

A 34-year-old man was arrested Monday after a report at 5:52 p.m. on the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue Northeast of a physical domestic inside a white trucked parking in front of the residence.

Arrested a 55-year-old man at 3:29 p.m. Sunday on the 1000 block of Kingwood Street for disorderly conduct.

Arrested a 47-year-old man at 6:16 p.m. Saturday on Northeast Washington Street and Eighth Avenue for driving after cancellation inimical to public safety.

A 43-year-old man was arrested Friday following a search warrant on the 300 block of Washington Street for violation of condition of release and sale of synthetic cannabinoids (marijuana) and possession of synthetic cannabinoids.

Arrested a 33-year-old woman at 12:13 a.m. Friday after a traffic stop for fifth degree possession of a controlled substance and fourth degree sale of a controlled substance and a 27-year-old man was cited for driving after revocation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 51-year-old man was arrested for fourth-degree DWI at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday at Quince and 13th Street Southeast.

THEFTS — Kimberly Braun, 1000 block of Kingwood, Monday reported a vehicle was broken into.

Little Caesars Pizza, 800 block of Washington Street, Monday reported deposit money was missing.

Jeremy Moores, 1000 block of Washington Street, Monday reported two vehicles were broken into.

Leonard Dick, B Street, reported Friday a vehicle window broken out and hunting equipment taken.

Glen Niles, 500 League Avenue, Tuesday reported a theft.

St. Francis of the Lakes Catholic School, 800 block of Juniper Street, Thursday reported a theft of donated aluminum cans from a trailer.

Loud Doud, 200 block of North 10th Street, Tuesday reported a theft from a vehicle.

BURGLARY — AT&T Cellular, 600 block of Northeast Washington Street, Monday reported a burglary.

A burglary was reported Sunday on the 1000 block of Fir Street.

Two burglaries were reported Sunday on the 1200 and 1300 blocks of Mill Avenue.

ROAD HAZARD — Received a report of a road hazard of a man in a wheelchair in the center of the road at 10 a.m. Saturday by 28th Street Southeast. The man wasn’t located. A second report was received Friday about 5 p.m. of a man in a wheelchair causing a road hazard on Jackson Street near the Brainerd Area Civic Center.

FRAUD — A scam was reported Friday from the 1200 block of Ninth Avenue Northeast.

A scam was reported from Craigslist Tuesday on the 600 block of Circle Pines Drive.

FIRE — A fire alarm was reported at 5:58 p.m. Monday on the 1200 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast with smoke in the residence. It turned out to be food left burning on the stove.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Brainerd Car Wash, 800 block of Mill Avenue, Monday reported a coin machine was damaged on Dec. 23 but no money was taken.

Damage was reported to a driver’s side door in a possible attempt to gain entry Saturday on the 1200 block of N Street.

Received a report of a garage lock cut Sunday on the 1100 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast.

A vehicle was reported broken into Friday on the 200 block of Southwest Fourth Street.

A side mirror was reported broken on a vehicle Friday on the 300 block of Gillis Avenue.

A hit-and-run damage was reported Tuesday on 2700 block of Oak Street.

CRASH — A vehicle/deer collision was reported at 5:49 p.m. Monday on Beaver Dam Road and Riverside Drive.

A three-vehicle crash with injuries was reported at 2:24 p.m. Friday at Fifth Avenue Northeast and Washington Street.

SUSPICIOUS — Received a report someone was knocking on the door at 5:17 a.m. Monday on a residence on the 400 block of 10th Avenue Northeast but no one was expected at that hour. No one was located in the area.

An intoxicated female was reported knocking on a door at 1:42 a.m. Monday on the 400 block of Eighth Avenue Northeast. The 33-year-old female was located and arrested on a warrant for receiving stolen property and booked for felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and tampering with a motor vehicle and shoplifting.

Arrested a 21-year-old man for failure to register and a Morrison County warrant after receiving a report of a suspicious male Sunday on the 700 block of Laurel Street.

Males putting items in a vehicle was reported as suspicious at 3:23 p.m. Friday on the 1000 block of Chicago Avenue. The males were picking up aluminum cans. One of the males was arrested on a Crow Wing County warrant.

Received a report of a shotgun case by the road in front of Stoneybrooks on 13th Street Southeast. It turned out to be a black exhaust pipe.

Received a report of a female attempting to open an apartment door on the 2400 block of Oak Street. No forced entry was attempted.

SHOOTING — Received a report of shots fired at 11:45 p.m. Saturday on the 1200 block of 28th Street Southeast. No one was located.

Received a report from a woman, 300 block of North Eighth Street, Tuesday that her stepson was shot with an air soft gun while playing.

CIVIL — Received a report Tuesday from a man who came to the Law Enforcement Center to report his wife took their car. He was told that was a civil problem.

THEFT — Catherine Anderson, 19000 block of County Road 132, Tuesday reported a theft of boulders from their rock pit.

Received a report Tuesday from the 6000 block of Holmes Avenue that their residence was burglarized while they were in court.

Michael Ledford, 10000 block of Sorenson Lake Road, Tuesday reported the theft of a firearm.

Holiday Station in Garrison Tuesday reported a gas drive-off.

Michael Sweeney, Breezy Point, Tuesday reported theft of a fish house.

FIRE — Garrison Fire Department was paged at 11:31 a.m. Tuesday to the 9500 block of Garrison for a electrical burning smell.

FISH HOUSE — A submerged fish house was reported submerged Tuesday on the 19000 block of Highway 371.
